Michael Zanon earned his Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Ferrara in 2015. After a brief experience abroad, he continued his studies at Politecnico di Torino, where he graduated in Materials Engineering in 2019 with a thesis on olfactory sensors conducted at IBM Almaden (USA).

He went on to complete a PhD in Materials Science and Technology in 2023, focusing on the development of photo-crosslinkable hydrogel platforms for tissue engineering. Following his doctorate, he held a post- doctoral research position at the Italian Institute of Technology, working on vitrimeric platforms derived from waste materials.

At the end of 2023, he joined Mat3D and became its CEO in 2024
